Boycotts Continue and More Companies Are Added to the List!
Once a group adds a company to their boycott list, we keep it on ours!
The boycotts began nationwide and locally, and StreetSense published the first piece on this topic on March 7, 2025 (https://streetsense.substack.com/p/the-boykotts-have-begun). That particular article reminded readers of the importance of not only supporting programs for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) but also supporting the rights of the unhoused and other marginalized groups.
The second piece came out on March 17 (https://streetsense.substack.com/p/boycotts-build-up-steam-chicago-and), showing that StreetSense writers and contributors are interested in helping send the clear message that destroying DEI programs, discriminating against the homeless, and harassing other Americans is not acceptable behavior for companies that want our money.
Many corporations, and individuals, comfortable right now in their privileged and racist positions, are attacking a wide variety of “others” in our nation. Cancelling DEI programs and goals for helping the disenfranchised and oppressed in our nation is another bad thing.
These are bad sorts of things most parents tell kids not to do, starting when they are toddlers.
We include the most egregious attacks on humanity and the focused destruction of programs mirroring American goals—such as the cancellation of DEI systems and priorities. Here is the current list of companies that have confirmed they’re shutting down their DEI commitments, or treating the homeless badly, or donating to politicians threatening the nation and democracy, or are known for harassing poor people and other Americans:

These are not all of the companies who do not deserve our dollars. These are some of the most well-known ones, including an emphasis on what Steven Larsen has termed the “Little Edgewater” neighborhood of Chicago, especially.
We hope that the boycotts, coupled with other forms of democratic participation, to take our country back—and our neighborhoods back—can be successful. With God’s guidance and blessing, we all hope to re-establish the great nation with opportunities for all persons and respect for all our brothers and sisters.
