Readers can now contribute easily to our budget to help the homeless—in some cases directly!
Now that the bad weather is upon us, StreetSense writers and helpers are out on the street, helping the unhoused with emergency needs, such as gloves, hats, sandwiches, and CTA passes in Chicago. Helpers in other cities are checking in on the homeless to find out what they need too.
That’s the page you can go to in order to donate funds to help us do our work. Money collected goes to unhoused persons in the form of tangible goods such as gloves and socks, plus pays minor expenses of those helping those outdoor residents.
We look forward to doubling-down on our hands-on work now that the snow is gonna fly!
We will still be working on important articles, but we will also be out there among the unkeyed to help them survive the winters in cities like Chicago, Moscow, Evanston, and beyond!

People can help spread the word about the research, interviews, book reviews, announcements, recommendations, personal accounts, movie reviews, and grant information we provide for helping the homeless! The mission of StreetSense is to educate and inform homeless people, community members, researchers, and social service professionals about issues facing homeless persons and resources available to help them.
There is a huge need for information helpful to homeless persons – and to those who endeavor to assist them. There are about 70,000 unhoused persons in Chicago now, for example. That is not counting the migrants—all of whom are also “unkeyed” also…

Thanks for all you do to help! You readers and supporters are awesome!
