Check this out! Museum featuring art by US Veterans, located in Chicago!
Proud to report on the “National Veterans Art Museum”
There is an important museum, located at 4041 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago! It is the National Veterans Art Museum (NVAM) which was officially established on Oct 12, 1986. It was created by several emerging veteran artists and volunteers.
The mission of the National Veterans Art Museum is to inspire connection and dialogue of the impact of war and military service through the collection, preservation and exhibition of art by veterans.
This is an exciting addition to the wide range of museums and galleries in the city. Persons can visit the exhibitions and also participate in presentations and meetings. Of course, people may wish to make a donation to—or volunteer at—NVAM.
Your participation is welcomed! Volunteers can help, and here is more info from the website: “Looking for other ways to get involved? We are always looking for volunteers for gallery coverage, veteran artist research, NVAM tours, and arts programming.”
There are many things happening and the volunteers are glad to help with your questions.
Please visit the museum soon!
