Check this out! A toolkit from the National Low Income Housing Coalition!
This toolkit will be very helpful!
Trying to argue for funds for housing? This toolkit will be very helpful!
This toolkit from NLIHC provides talking points and hints. It can serve to make you more informed as you contact your elected officials. It can help with people facing housing insecurity, the homeless, and persons who are poor.
Taking HUD and other dollars away when there are so many unhoused persons in our nation is despicable. But we must approach these destructive people in a positive and encouraging way.
Our first instinct might be to yell… but in this climate, that only makes Trump and his cruel thugs happy. They love to see protests and violence and outrage.
We must be the adults in the room and make use of good sources like this one in our advocacy: https://nlihc.org/sites/default/files/Oppose-Dramatic-Cuts-to-Federal-Investments-in-Affordable-Housing-Toolkit_052725.pdf?utm_source=NLIHC+All+Subscribers&utm_campaign=95c9acfdab-CTA_FY26_Spending+Cuts_061125_COPY_02&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_-b3fee911cf-%5BLIST_EMAIL_ID%5D&ct=t%28CTA_FY26_Spending+Cuts_061125_COPY_02%29
It is through reasonable and purposeful approaches we must persevere with those who are, in effect, doing everything they can to destroy and defeat the most vulnerable persons in our land.
Good luck with your advocacy! Persevere! Network! Read! Connect!
