Here we are, wondering what new policies, procedures, rules, and restrictions will be announced by the new administration and their impact.
Will all Americans be impacted? Just the poor? Just the children with cancer? Just the members of the medical research community? Just the young people who ambassadors with the USAID programs abroad? Just the members of the LGBTQ+ communities? Just the trans athletes or coaches or advocates or parents?
In a brand-new sort of way, the new president is ruling by jotting down anything that comes into his mind—or his special advisors are telling him to write down—and the result is that we are falling decades into the past with the removal of rights.
Many, many Americans are in fact impacted.
Right now, we are waiting to see how badly the new executive orders will destroy all that has been achieved in the last 100 years or so… from rights to voting and from rights to marry.
The targets of the Trump administration have been so far diverse, and the group includes: trans persons and athletes specifically, LGBTQ+ persons and those who wish to be addressed and referred to by their own choice in pronouns specifically, people who do not think the Gulf of Mexico is not under direct control of the US Government, and a host of others, including devoted long-term and short-term federal employees who now will potentially be homeless.
Support for the changes is strong among a varied cast of players within the hatred party. The hatred of almost all Americans because once the dust clears, there are hardly any Americans left who are not among the hated.
How long will it take before the changes—and the Musk “housecleaning”—will destroy and chop programs for even more taxpayers, cancelling and defunding programs and grants impacting the homeless, unhoused youth, unhoused Veterans, and others out of luck, living on the streets or in shelters or in abandoned cars?
We must keep working, fighting, planning, and praying as we come up with strategies to save those who are at a disadvantage. And this group quickly becoming even more disenfranchised than they were before January 20 needs our assistance badly. Where will we get the tools to house people? To understand them? To feed them? To get them the dignity and respect they deserve as human beings?
As a movement slowly grows to stop the crazy and unmonitored destruction, gutting, defunding, and damage continue to happen in many of our federal agencies.
The burglary of the federal agencies by Musk is unmonitored and unchecked by the presidency or congress thus far… with only federal judges having the audacity to slow down the freight train—at least temporarily—while everyone in the nation tries to catch their breath and figure out how much damage is being done where and how.
Unchecked, illegal, unethical, unwise, at least. And unmonitored.
Just as an unmonitored child picks his nose in the Oval Office, wipes his boogers on the Resolute Desk (a symbolic gift from England) and then proceeds to tell Donald J. Trump he is NOT the president and “needs to leave,” going on to say twice he wants Mr. Trump to “shush his mouth.”
